SpanGuild

SpanGuild designs and develops business websites for UK and international clients, from a first five-page site to a full replacement of an outdated one.

A website people understand

A professional website should help people understand what you do, not leave them searching for the basics. We start with your services and the people you want to reach.

What do your customers need to know first?

Your potential customers arrive with straightforward questions. What does your business do? Do you offer the service they need? Where do you operate? What happens next? How can they contact you?

We organise your website around the information you can provide and the actions you want visitors to take.

What can a website project include?

Every project is scoped individually. Copywriting, hosting, subscriptions and maintenance are included only where stated in the proposal.

  • Homepage and business information pages
  • Individual service pages
  • Landing pages for a defined offer
  • Contact and enquiry forms
  • Frequently asked questions
  • Content management functionality
  • Agreed third-party integrations
  • Responsive page development
  • Foundational metadata and heading structure
  • Deployment to your agreed hosting setup

Starting without an existing website?

You do not need a finished website plan before contacting us. Bring your business information, an outline of your services and any examples you like. We can discuss which pages you need, what information belongs on them and what you will need to provide.

If you already have a logo, photographs or written content, we can consider those as part of the project.

Replacing or improving an existing website?

Tell us what is not working. The issue might be unclear content, an outdated appearance, difficult navigation or missing functionality. We can review the current setup and discuss whether targeted improvements or a rebuild would be more appropriate.

Who owns the hosting and the domain?

You do. For website builds, you can arrange your own domain and hosting. We discuss the technical requirements and deployment responsibilities before development begins, and the proposal makes clear which accounts you manage, what is included in handover and whether any continuing support is required.

Questions about website development

  • How much does a business website cost?

The cost depends on the agreed pages, functionality, integrations and content requirements. We discuss those details before proposing a price, so you know what is included before any work starts.

  • Will I be able to update the content myself?

If content editing is required, we include a suitable content management approach in the scope so you can update pages without a developer.

  • Will my website include SEO?

The proposal can include foundational on-page and technical SEO work such as page titles, descriptions, heading structure and indexing setup. Ongoing SEO campaigns and ranking outcomes are separate from the build.
